Apple Pay 

Introduction 

Apple Pay is a digital wallet and a mobile payment method that enables the users to save their credit/debit card details and allows them to make payments using their Apple devices.

With digital wallets becoming the most sought after payment method to make online transactions, Apple Pay is becoming a popular option amongst the retailers.

Chargebee now allows you to accept payments via Apple Pay on the web. As long as Apple Pay is the default payment method, it is used to collect future recurring payments. The payment method can be changed by the merchant or the customer whenever required.

Setting up Apple Pay 

Step 1: Setup Apple Pay in your Payment Gateway

You need to configure Apple Pay in your payment gateway before setting it up in Chargebee.

Note

Apple Pay can be used only by those merchants who have a Stripe/ Braintree payment gateway configured in their site.

Stripe:

You can follow the instructions here   to configure Apple Pay in Stripe.

Merchants using Stripe can accept Apple Pay from customers in the countries mentioned here .

Braintree:

You can follow the instructions here   to configure Apple Pay in Braintree.

Merchants using Braintree can accept Apple Pay from customers in the countries mentioned here  .

Step 2: Process Apple Pay transactions via Chargebee

Apple Pay is supported in Chargebee only via API.
