I cannot allow my customers to checkout without payment details. Why?

Problem Statement

You want to allow checkout without payment details for zero-dollar plans, but the setting is not working or payment method is still being requested.

Solution

Checkout without payment details requires Google Invisible reCAPTCHA for your custom domain. reCAPTCHA helps reduce spam and bot signups. This setting must be enabled in the backend.

Steps to Set It Up

  1. Create Invisible reCAPTCHA keys.
  2. Capture the Site Key and Secret Key.
  3. Contact support to register the keys in the backend. Share securely (e.g., encrypted file).
  4. Enable Allow customers to checkout without payment details.

Important Notes

Note

If your custom domain changes, expires, or is removed, configure Invisible reCAPTCHA keys for the new or updated domain.

Note

This feature applies only to new subscriptions created through checkout. It does not apply to the checkout_existing API. If payment method is still requested, check that you are using checkout for new subscriptions, not existing ones.
