“Finance has become a real-time function…For me, that is the real promise of an AI-native finance function: a team that understands what is happening as it happens, helps leaders see the choices ahead, and gives the business more time to act while the outcome can still change.”

CFO, OpenAI

Seun Sodipo · Aug 4, 2026

“One idea I keep coming back to is that AI should raise the bar, not just increase output. The goal is to help teams think deeper, move faster, and take on more ambitious work.”

CFO, Plaid

Nigel Glenday · Sep 14, 2026

“The tools are only going to be as useful as the context you’re able to engineer around them. CFOs are in a really unique position to do this. They have a 360 view of the enterprise, deeply involved in systems and systems building, and they’re in this position to be able to shape the framing of context for these models.”

CFO and COO, Masterworks

Rory O’Driscoll · Sep 1, 2026

“Auditability may be the key to unlocking agentic finance. The ability to not just execute work but also show exactly how it was done is what allows teams to trust AI with progressively more responsibility. This means that instead of automating one workflow completely end-to-end, the opportunity lies in breaking complex work into two- or three-step workflows where every action, assumption, and output is visible and verifiable.”

VC, Scale Venture Partners

Shiv Verma · Sep 23, 2026

“I think if you’re in a finance org, you have to do both. You have to do the meat and potatoes: using these AI tools to automate some of your workflows or improve the efficiency of your team. But where you really take the jump is when you can start to chart insights [with AI].”

CFO, Robinhood

Rajeev, Adi, and Jasmine · Nov 20, 2025

“Despite growing demands on finance teams and financial service providers, many of the tools and processes remain decade(s)-old, painfully slow, error-prone and not built for scale. Finance desperately needs an AI makeover.”

Sapphire Ventures

Krishna Rao · May 13, 2026

“I have a dashboard, I look at token usage [across the org]…some of the most senior people within the finance team are actually the biggest users of tokens.”

CFO, Anthropic

Ryan Roccon · Sep 22, 2026

“Every automation, every process, every tool, within accounting, finance, tax etc., [has] a Zapier-powered automation behind the scenes, 70% of the time with some amount of inference built in with an agentic step.”

COO and CFO, Zapier

Lydia Stone

“My big realization has been that I’m no longer only an accounting/finance leader. I’m also an engineer now. AI is such a powerful tool.”
