How to raise a migration request with Chargebee

Problem Statement

You want to migrate your data or cards to Chargebee and need to request help from the Chargebee migration team.

Solution

Migration moves data from your existing billing system into Chargebee. It includes customers, subscriptions, invoices, and mapping card tokens to customers.

Related scenarios

  • You are a new Chargebee user moving all subscription data into Chargebee.
  • You are an existing Chargebee user switching to a different gateway vault.
  • You are a new Chargebee user changing your billing system and gateway vault.

Configuration steps

  1. In your Chargebee app, go to Settings > Import and Export data.
Import and Export data in Settings
  1. Click Bring data into Chargebee > Request Migration.
Request Migration option

Additional information

Charges apply to all migration requests, including customers, subscriptions, credit notes, current term invoice data, and historical invoice import.

You can choose self-driven migration or have the Chargebee migration team handle it. For card migration, see Migrating cards (prerequisites apply for certain payment gateways).
