How can I view and download billing history in the Self-Serve Portal?

If you're unable to view or download your billing history and invoices from the Chargebee Self-Serve Portal, this guide will help you troubleshoot and resolve the issue. This problem can sometimes occur due to browser-related issues or network problems. Follow the steps below to diagnose and fix the issue.

Solution

  1. Check Browser Compatibility: Ensure that you are using a supported browser. Chargebee recommends using the latest versions of Chrome, Firefox, or Safari.

    • Clear your browser cache and cookies to remove any outdated information.
  2. Verify Invoice Access: Ensure that you have the necessary permissions to view and download invoices in the Self-Serve Portal.

    • Contact your account administrator if you suspect permission issues.
  3. Capture HAR Files for Analysis: If the issue persists, capturing HAR files can help diagnose the problem.

    • Steps to capture HAR files:
      1. Open your browser and navigate to the Chargebee Self-Serve Portal.
      2. Right-click on the page and select Inspect or press Ctrl + Shift + I (Windows) or Cmd + Option + I (Mac) to open Developer Tools.
      3. Go to the Network tab.
      4. Ensure the Preserve log option is checked.
      5. Reproduce the issue by attempting to view or download the billing history.
      6. Right-click within the Network tab and select Save all as HAR with content.
      7. Save the file and provide it to your support team for further analysis.
  4. Check Network Connectivity: Ensure that your internet connection is stable and that there are no network restrictions blocking access to Chargebee.

  5. Try a Different Network or Device: If possible, try accessing the portal from a different network or device to rule out local network issues.

Important Notes

  • Ensure your browser is up-to-date to avoid compatibility issues.
  • HAR files contain sensitive information. Share them only with trusted support personnel.
  • If the issue persists after following these steps, contact Chargebee support for further assistance.
