Skip cart

The cart displays the products added by your customer and ready to purchase.

In a scenario where you need to leap your customers to the checkout page and be ready to pay, a Skip cart can be used. It allows customers to bypass the shopping cart page in the checkout process and proceed directly to the payment page. This can be beneficial for you because it can reduce the number of checkout steps, improving the user experience and increasing the likelihood of completing a purchase. By reducing the number of steps in the checkout process, businesses may also see an increase in conversion rates and revenue.

Additionally, a skip cart can be helpful for you in case you sell only a single product or have already included all necessary details about the product on the product page.

Implementing a skip cart can streamline the checkout process and make it more convenient for customers, increasing customer satisfaction and loyalty.

To enable this feature, follow these steps:

  1. Login to your Chargebee site.
  2. Go to Settings > Configure Chargebee > Checkout & Self-Serve Portal.
  3. Select the Advanced Settings setting section and enable Skip order cart during checkout.

The feature can increase your conversion rate because it removes a step from the purchasing process for the customers and they will be taken to the Account details screen to place the order.

For Full Page Checkout, to skip the cart page, make sure that the Show recommended addons in Checkout is disabled.

Enabling Skip Cart will not display the plan description on the checkout page. Follow the steps below to disable Show recommended addons in Checkout:

  1. Go to Settings > Configure Chargebee > Checkout & Self-Serve Portal.

  2. Disable Show recommended addons in Checkout under the Checkout section.
