Transfer configuration between sites (test and live)

Problem Statement

You want to transfer configurations between your TEST and LIVE sites (or between LIVE sites).

Solution

Chargebee's Transfer configurations capability allows you to copy configurations from any Chargebee site to another, whether LIVE or TEST. You need at least one Chargebee LIVE account. Navigate to Settings > Configure Chargebee > Tools > Transfer Configurations.

Configuration Steps

Step 1: Navigate to Settings > Configure Chargebee > Tools > Transfer Configurations.

Step 2: The Transfer Configurations feature loads with your current logged-in site pre-selected as the Source. This is the site from which configurations will be copied.

Step 3: Select a Destination site. The list shows all Chargebee sites you have Administrator access to. The destination can be a TEST or LIVE site.

Step 4: Click Get Started. The behavior depends on the destination site type.

If the destination is a TEST site

  1. Clear test site data: Confirm when prompted: "All the data and configurations will be deleted from your site before validating."

  1. Validate configurations: Click Proceed to validate the configurations being copied.

  2. Initiate transfer: Review the list of configurations to be copied. Click Proceed to transfer and confirm.

If the destination is a LIVE site

  1. Select configurations: Choose to transfer all configurations or select specific ones. Click Proceed to validate.
