Lifetime Amount Recovered

Lifetime amount recovered through all successful dunning attempts.

How it's measured

Lifetime Recovered Revenue = Sum of the amount recovered by all successful dunning attempts.

Note

This metric is calculated only for invoices where online is enabled.

Reading

An upward trend indicates positive performance.

Interpretation

This metric helps analyze overall recovery trends and evaluate the effectiveness of dunning strategies.

Example

2020: Total amount recovered = $100 2021: Total amount recovered = $250 Lifetime Recovered Revenue (2021): $100 + $250 = $350

Dunning Status Summary

A summary of the current number of invoices and their associated billing amounts categorized by : In Progress, Exhausted, Stopped, or Success.

Explanation of metric

This metric provides a table that breaks down all invoices into one of the four dunning stages (In Progress, Exhausted, Stopped, Success) at any specific point in time.

How it's measured

Dunning Status Summary = Total number of invoices and total billing amount by dunning status.

Reading

The Dunning Status Summary metric does not show a discernible upward or downward trend.

Interpretation

This metric helps assess the efficiency of the dunning process. A high value in the 'Success' category reflects effective dunning, while a high value in the 'Exhausted' status suggests the need to reassess dunning strategies.

Example

  • In Progress: 1,000 invoices with a billing amount of $700K
  • Stopped: 250 invoices with a billing amount of $200K
  • Success: 8,000 invoices with a billing amount of $4.2M
  • Exhausted: 2,000 invoices with a billing amount of $1.3M

Total Amount Recovered

The total amount recovered through dunning.

Explanation of metric

This metric is represented by a trend line that shows the total amount recovered through dunning over a specific period.

How it's measured

Total Amount Recovered = Total value of payments recovered through dunning during the period.

Reading

An upward trend Indicates positive performance.

Interpretation

This metric provides an overall understanding of the effectiveness of the recovery mechanism. A flat or downward slope in the trend line suggests a weak revenue recovery system.

Total Amount Recovered by Dunning Attempt

The total amount recovered during the period, segmented by each dunning attempt.

Explanation of metric

This metric is visualized as a chart, showing the total amount recovered through each dunning attempt within the given period.

How it's measured

Total Amount Recovered by Dunning Attempt = Total amount recovered per dunning attempt.

Reading

An upward trend Indicates positive performance.

Interpretation

This metric helps identify which dunning attempt is most effective in recovering payments.
