Displaying Revenue in Reports

Chargebee Growth can display revenue values alongside customer totals across your dashboard and reports. You can configure the revenue source whether or not you have a billing integration connected.

Note

Revenue values currently appear only in the Cancel page dashboard and related cancellation reports.

How revenue sources work

Chargebee Growth supports two revenue source types:

Source typeDescription
BillingPulls revenue directly from your connected billing system (Chargebee). Use this if your billing integration is active.
Customer fieldUses a numeric field passed through the Growth JS snippet or an enrichment integration. Use this if you do not have a billing integration.

Revenue source options

When Billing is the source type, you can choose how revenue is calculated:

OptionDescription
MRRDisplays the MRR value from your billing system.
Subscription priceDisplays the full subscription value from your billing system.

When Customer field is the source type, you can choose any numeric field that you have mapped in your field mappings. This field must be passed consistently through the Growth JS snippet or an enrichment integration for revenue values to populate correctly.

Configuring revenue in reports

Prerequisites

Before you configure revenue, make sure that the source you plan to use is ready:

  • For the Billing source type, your billing system must be connected under Settings > Setup > Billing system.
  • For the Customer field source type, at least one numeric field must be mapped under Settings > Setup > Field mappings.

Configuring the revenue source

  1. Go to Settings > Setup > Configuration > Revenue in reports.
