Removing test sessions from reporting

When you set up and test your Chargebee Growth cancel experience, test sessions appear in your dashboard within minutes. Before you go live, you can exclude specific domains or individual email addresses from reporting, so that your data reflects only real customer activity.

To set this up, go to Settings > Users > Restricted Domains & Emails > Manage.

Restricted Domains & Emails option on the Users page in Chargebee Growth

How exclusions work

Excluding a domain or email address removes all associated sessions from your Growth dashboard and reports. It does not affect any other functionality. Precancel requests, webhooks, alerts, targeting, and billing updates all continue to operate normally.

How restricted domains work

Restricting a domain removes the sessions of every user at that domain from your reports.

Use this to exclude all internal test sessions at once by adding your company domain or staging domain.

For example, if acme.com is restricted, sessions from joe@acme.com, jane@acme.com, and any other acme.com user are excluded from reporting. Those users can still run cancel sessions without affecting your dashboard data.

How restricted emails work

Restricting an email address removes the sessions for that specific user only.

For example, if johndoe@acme.com is restricted, only sessions from that address are excluded. Other users at the same domain are still reflected in reporting.
