Rillet Integration

Overview

The Rillet integration enables seamless synchronization of journal entries between Chargebee RevRec Premium and Rillet. Once connected, RevRec Premium automatically posts journal entries to your Rillet ledger based on your configured journal posting flow.

Note

This integration is in Early Access. Contact Support to enable it.

How the integration works

When you connect RevRec Premium with Rillet:

  • Journal entries are automatically pushed to the Rillet general ledger.
  • Journal statuses are automatically updated in RevRec Premium after posting.
  • Posted entries can be verified in Rillet under Journal Entries.
  • End-to-end visibility into the journal posting process is available.

Unsupported features

The following Rillet features are not currently supported.

Custom fields

Rillet supports custom fields that allow businesses to capture additional metadata on financial records, such as cost centers, regions, and product classifications. Chargebee does not currently support mapping or syncing these custom fields to Rillet.

Journal splitting by entity

Splitting journals based on Chargebee Entity ID and mapping them to corresponding Rillet subsidiary IDs is not supported when using the Multi Business Entity feature.

Prerequisites

Before you connect RevRec Premium with Rillet, make sure the following are configured under Settings > Accounting:

  • Chart of accounts
  • Journal account mappings

This ensures that journal entries are routed correctly to your Rillet accounts.

After the connection is established, RevRec Premium automatically publishes journal entries to Rillet whenever an accounting period is closed.

Configure the journal posting flow

You can configure RevRec Premium to automatically post journal entries to Rillet.

Before turning on journal posting, make sure your journal account mappings are configured correctly under Settings > Accounting.

Execute journal posting

RevRec Premium offers two ways to execute journal posting.

Automatic posting

Journal entries are posted automatically based on the configured journal frequency.

Manual posting

To manually post journals:

  1. Go to the Post Journal page.
  2. Select Post Journals.

The Post Journals icon is also visible next to any posted or failed journal entry, allowing you to retry. Progress can be tracked via the job info in the left navbar.

Once posting is complete, the journal status in RevRec Premium updates to Success.

You can view the posted journal entries in Rillet under the relevant GL Account, with the memo populated from the journal description generated by RevRec Premium.
