Test EBANX gateway integration in Chargebee test site

Problem Statement

This article helps you understand test ebanx gateway integration in chargebee test site.

Solution

You can simulate the checkout experience of an end customer using EBANX using the Chargebee Billing test site. This allows you to validate the integration, smart routing, and customer information flow before going live.

Prerequisites

Before starting the test, ensure that the following setup steps are completed:

  1. Ensure that the EBANX test instance is connected in your Chargebee test site.
  2. Set up Smart Routing as recommended for EBANX transactions.
  3. Generate a Checkout link from your test site.

Checkout Flow

During the EBANX-specific checkout flow, you will be prompted to provide the following information:

  • Document Type
  • Document ID
  • Full Name

These fields are required for compliance with local regulations in LATAM markets. Make sure that the values you provide are consistent. For example, the Document ID must match the selected Document Type and correspond with the customer’s full name.

Test Credentials

Use the following credentials to simulate a successful checkout with EBANX:

FieldTest ValueNotes
Document TypeCPFCPF is the Brazilian tax ID required for card transactions.
Document ID98765432100Valid CPF format for testing.
Full NameMaria OliveiraMust match the Document ID provided above.
Card Number4111 1111 1111 1111Visa test card number.
Expiry DateAny future month/yearExample: 12/28
CVVAny 3-digit numberExample: 123

Expected Result

After entering the test credentials, you should expect the following:

  • The transaction will proceed successfully, simulating a valid EBANX card payment flow.
  • You may repeat the test using different expiry dates or CVV values to confirm consistent results.

Important Notes

  • These credentials are valid only in the Chargebee Test Site and cannot be used in production.
  • For testing other EBANX payment methods (e.g., boleto or local wallets), refer to EBANX’s official sandbox documentation.
