Can I create an invoice with multiple line items?

Problem Statement

Can I customize line items on an invoice? Can I create an invoice with multiple line items or add line items to an existing invoice?

Solution

In Chargebee, invoices are automatically generated from the plans and addons on a subscription. You cannot manually create an invoice with multiple line items or add line items to an existing invoice.

For a subscription with a plan and addons, each plan and addon appears as a separate line item. The same applies when you bulk upload subscriptions.

Steps to Set It Up (Workaround)

To show more detail, use Plan Description when editing the plan. Add a description of the costs; it will appear on the invoice.
