Why are the price details sometimes missing in the emails sent to customers?

Problem Statement

This article explains why the Smart Section or price details are sometimes missing in emails sent to customers.

Solution

The Smart Section only appears when there is an amount charged for the term. If the subscription has zero-dollar pricing, the price details are omitted.

Reasons for zero-dollar pricing

  1. The plan has a zero price.
  2. The price was overridden at creation or later (check Edit Subscription under Events).
  3. A 100% coupon or discount is applied to the subscription.
