Why do I see the error when updating the organization address?
Problem Statement
This article explains why you see "Changing organization country is not allowed as it is set as origin of one or more countries" when updating the organization address and how to resolve it.
Solution
Chargebee blocks changing the organization country when it is set as the origin country in tax settings. This happens when (1) pricing is inclusive and (2) the origin country in the tax configuration is the same as the organization’s current country. To change the organization address, you must adjust tax settings first.
Steps to Set It Up
- Go to Settings > Configure Chargebee > Taxes > Configure Tax.
- Do one of the following:
- Change the pricing type to exclusive, then update the organization address.
- Update the origin country in the tax configuration to match the new organization address.
- After updating the organization address, revert the tax settings to your original configuration if needed.
