How to embed Paypal on the checkout page?

Problem Statement

You want to know how to embed paypal on the checkout page.

Solution

The PayPal Express Checkout gateway allows customers to make payments using their PayPal account.

If you're using Chargebee's checkout pages for sign up, Chargebee automatically embeds PayPal on the checkout page if you have connected your PayPal Express Checkout merchant account in Chargebee.

For this, navigate to Settings > Configure Chargebee > Payment Gateways and click Add a Gateway. You can follow the setup steps explained in this doc for the complete configuration.

However, if you're using your own checkout page and are using our APIs to create subscriptions in Chargebee, you'd need to integrate your checkout page with PayPal for the Pay with PayPal option to appear. This solution article covers further details about this.
