Will the existing cards on the file require SCA? How will it affect my existing customers?

Problem Statement

This article helps you understand will the existing cards on the file require sca? how will it affect my existing customers.

Solution

According to the SCA, most of the cards already present on file are exempted from 3DS. However, there is a possibility that the issuing bank might enforce 3DS on cards, invariably. For such cases, you can remove the card that is already present on the file and use the Request payment method option to collect the card information once again. This will be handled by the fallback mechanism within Chargebee

We have covered the details of the fallback mechanism in article below
