For Netbanking and UPI checkout, see Razorpay UPI & Netbanking — Checkout flow.
Recurring cards and e-mandates
The following conditions apply when customers use cards via Razorpay:
- Customers cannot set up recurring payments if the card-issuing bank does not support e-mandates or is not supported by Razorpay. Consider Netbanking or UPI as alternatives. See Razorpay’s supported banks and apps.
- Because of a Razorpay limitation, customers must add a new payment method on checkout or Pay Now to purchase or set up other subscriptions. Saved Cards (or Netbanking e-mandates) do not appear when the customer clicks Pay Now.
- Upgrades to an existing subscription via the Chargebee Portal are not supported. Customers must cancel an existing subscription and buy a new one.
- The e-mandate is set up with these guidelines:
- The maximum amount is INR 15,000.
- Validity ends with the card expiry date.
- Billing frequency is sporadic (as and when presented).

Testing
Domestic / Export and Import use different Razorpay test accounts and different test card details. Do not reuse a Domestic test MID for Import (or the reverse).
Test instruments work in test mode only. No real money is moved.
Testing in sandbox (Domestic / Export)
Use your Chargebee test site with a Razorpay Domestic test account.
