How to find the internal ID of a record in Xero?

Problem Statement

You need the internal ID of a Xero record (customer, payment, or product) to map it to an entity in Chargebee or for configuration.

Solution

Internal IDs in Xero are used for mapping to Chargebee. Here is where to find them.

Customer ID (Contact ID)

Contact ID is the unique identifier for each contact. It appears at the end of the URL when you open that contact's page in Xero.

Payments internal ID

Search for the transaction in Xero. The payment ID shown there is the internal ID.

Product internal ID

Go to Business > Product and Services, choose the account, then open the product. The internal ID is in the URL. You can get the internal ID for other record types the same way—open the record and read the ID from the URL.
