Unable to generate checkout URL in HubSpot Q2C

Problem Statement

This article explains how to generate a checkout URL in HubSpot for a Chargebee subscription, how to generate a one-time checkout URL from HubSpot Q2C, and how to generate a new link when the expired one was for the same deal.

Solution

You can generate a checkout URL from HubSpot for a Chargebee subscription without using API calls.

Prerequisites

• Site must be on the latest Product Catalog.
• Products must be synced to HubSpot.

Steps to Set It Up

1. Open HubSpot and the contact.
2. Click Add to create a new deal or open an existing deal.
3. Select deal parameters and add line items if needed. Click Create.
4. Open the deal.
5. Select Checkout Link from the left sidebar.
6. Click Save (bottom left).
7. Refresh the page.

If the link has expired: Change the status to Create Subscription, then back to Create Checkout link, and refresh to generate a new link for the same deal.

Important Notes

• HubSpot legacy integration was sunset on March 3, 2023.
• Chargebee is on HubSpot Quote to Cash (Q2C) with self-serve flows for customer and subscription sync.
• Existing users are not affected. Contact support for more information.
