Why is my addon not visible in subscription quotes?

Related Scenarios

  • Addon not appearing when creating a new subscription quote
  • Issues with addon IDs containing special characters
  • Addon associated with a plan but not visible

Solution

When creating a new subscription quote, you might encounter an issue where an addon does not appear, even though it is correctly associated with the plan. This can occur if the addon ID contains special characters, such as commas, which are encoded and cause visibility issues.

To resolve this issue, follow these steps:

  1. Identify the problematic addon: Navigate to Product Catalog > Addons and locate the addon that is not visible in the subscription quote.

    • Check if the addon ID contains any special characters, such as commas.
  2. Archive the existing addon: If the addon ID contains a comma or other special characters, archive the addon.

    • Go to Product Catalog > Addons, select the addon, and click Archive.
  3. Create a new addon: Create a new addon with a similar configuration but ensure the ID does not contain any special characters.

    • Navigate to Product Catalog > Addons and click Create Addon.
    • Enter the necessary details and ensure the ID is free of special characters.
  4. Associate the new addon with the plan: Once the new addon is created, associate it with the relevant plan.

    • Go to Product Catalog > Plans, select the plan, and add the newly created addon.
  5. Verify the addon visibility: Create a new subscription quote to ensure the addon is now visible.

    • If the issue persists, double-check the addon configuration and plan association.

Important Notes

  • Avoid using special characters in addon IDs to prevent encoding issues.
  • Always verify addon visibility in subscription quotes after making changes.
  • Consider standardizing addon ID formats across your products to avoid similar issues in the future.
