Can I configure multiple plans under one Subscribe button?

Problem Statement

You want to know if you can configure multiple plans under one subscribe button.

Solution

Summary

Chargebee lets you create plans corresponding to a specific product or a service you offer to your customers. You can display information on your plans using the description section to let your customers gain more knowledge of the subscription that you provide.

Since, Chargebee's checkout pages are plan specific with an intramural activity that takes place within the app, it is not possible to include multiple plans in a single "Subscribe" button.

Factually, aligning multiple products or service to subscription results in generating single invoice and payment restricting your users to allow the usage of multiple currencies during checkout and maintaining the same billing interval.

Three workarounds for this scenario are,

  1. If you are using a self-hosted page, other than Chargebee's in-app checkout you could display the plans as a drop-down and embed the drop-in script associated with the plans configured. When your customer clicks on the plan name, the corresponding checkout page pops up.

  2. Use of the plan URL based implementation on the plan/subscribe buttons configured on your website.

  3. To allow and experience the usage of smart routing and designation of a currency to a particular gateway, it is best to maintain an individual plan using the Chargebee's in-app checkout for all the "subscribe" button that you display in your portal.
