How to edit the cancelled subscription message displayed on the customer portal?
Problem Statement
You want to change the default cancelled subscription message shown in the customer portal. You may see "Error: The size should not be more than 250" if the message is too long.
Solution
Customize labels and messages under Labels in the Checkout and Self-serve Portal settings. The cancelled message has a maximum length of 250 characters.
Steps to Set It Up
- Go to Settings > Configure Chargebee > Checkout and Self serve portal > Labels.
- Find and edit the "CANCELLED. Your subscription has been cancelled. Contact us to reactivate your subscription" label.
- Click Apply, then Publish.
Important Notes
Note
- Maximum label length is 250 characters.
- Use +Add more copy/text to add new labels.
- When pasting, use "Paste without formatting" or "Paste as plain text" to avoid hidden characters that can exceed the limit.
