The order has not been generated automatically while creating one invoice with a Quick charge only. Why?

Problem Statement

You created an invoice with only a quick charge (ad-hoc charge) and no order was generated automatically.

Solution

Orders are generated only for shippable items. Quick charges and ad-hoc charges are not shippable, so Chargebee does not create orders for them. Order management applies to items that can be marked as shippable, such as plans, add-ons, non-recurring add-ons, or charges.

To create a one-time invoice and an order, use a charge that is marked as shippable. An order will be placed automatically when the invoice is generated.

Steps to Set It Up

1. Go to Product Catalog > Charge, select the charge, and click Edit Charge.
2. In Shipping Preference, enable the option to mark the product as shippable.

3. Click Save.
