Why I'm getting an error 'Subscription cannot be updated as it is scheduled for cancellation at end of current term'?

Problem Statement

You want to understand why i'm getting an error 'subscription cannot be updated as it is scheduled for cancellation at end of current term'.

Scope

I cannot schedule a subscription change at the end of the term while it's scheduled cancelation.

Can't we schedule cancellation and subscription changes at the end of the term?

Summary

By default, when a subscription is scheduled to cancel at the end of the term or on a specific date, you cannot schedule a subscription change on the same date via UI or API. However, either you can schedule any changes prior to the subscription cancellation date or cancel or change the subscription cancellation schedule.

Solution

Remove Schedule Cancellation via UI

You can 'Remove Schedule Cancellation' from 'Subscription Index Page > Subscription details page'

Modify Subscription Change Schedule via UI

Navigate to the Subscription Index Page > Subscription details page > Edit Subscription > Apply Changes > Choose the date before the subscription scheduled cancellation by choosing Immediately or 'On Specific date'.
