How to configure emails for churning?

Configuring subscription cancellation reminder email notifications

Extend Subscription

Emails to remind your customers about upcoming cancellations could potentially retain your customers by giving them an option to extend their subscription.

You can prevent subscriptions from churning by sending email notifications to your customers, reminding them about a scheduled cancellation. To enable the notifications, head to Settings > Configure Chargebee > Email Notifications. Scroll down to the Customer Retention section, and you will find the Subscription Cancellation notifications.

You can configure multiple reminders using the Add Notification button and set the number of days before which you'd like to send the emails.

Extend Subscription

Using the Extend Subscription option, customers can choose to continue their subscription without having to contact you. The subscription extension happens for the same number of billing cycles and with the same billing interval as specified in the plan-level billing settings.

You can include the Extend Subscription button in the cancellation reminder email template by clicking Add option(hover over the section for this), screenshot below.
