This article explains how to find why a particular invoice was raised, who added or removed an addon or coupon, and how to trace changes to a customer or subscription.
Use the Activity Log or Events on the customer or subscription record. Scroll down on the record to view the Activity Log.
You can also expand Events under a Customer to see the Source of each change.
Source interpretation
| Source | User | Interpretation |

| Admin console | user_email | A Chargebee user made the change |
| API | API key name | Custom implementation or integrations (e.g., Zapier, Salesforce) |
| Hosted page | Chargebee checkout or update payment method page | |
| Portal | Customer made the change from the self-serve portal | |
| Bulk operation | User email | Change from a bulk operation |
| Scheduled job | Chargebee automations (e.g., subscription renewal) |
