How Price Ramps work with Create Subscription
When you create a subscription on a price point that has an active Price Ramp, Chargebee shows the first interval price and the ramp schedule. Overriding that price removes the ramp from that subscription line.
Use Price Ramps when creating a subscription
- Create a subscription.
- While creating a subscription, click + Add Plan and select the plan (or add an addon). If the selected item price has an active price ramp, the price shown is the first interval price configured in the Product Catalog. By default, this price is read-only.
- Below the price, a ramp presentation shows the schedule across billing cycles. Open it to view the full schedule.
If you keep the read-only ramp price, the subscription inherits the ramp schedule from the catalog.
Override the ramp price when creating a subscription
- Click the Edit icon next to the price.
- Chargebee displays a confirmation that changing the price makes ramps inapplicable.
- If you proceed, the ramp is no longer associated with this subscription line. The subscription continues as a normal create-subscription flow, and Price Ramps are not honored for that item.
