Currency must be EUR for a sepa_core mandate

Problem Statement

My customers are getting an error while adding their bank account via Chargebee checkout.

Solution

This error often occurs when a customer has a UK bank account and the currency is GBP. The hosted pages default to SEPA, which requires EUR. For GBP payments, the customer must use BACS instead.

Steps to Set It Up

When adding payment details via hosted pages, the scheme defaults to SEPA. If the customer's currency is GBP, they need to change the scheme in the top-right to BACS before entering their bank account details.
