I am unable to delete an in progress transaction from Chargebee Billing UI.
Solution
When there's an In-progress transaction that you would like to delete, we can perform the backend action from our end. Please write to support@chargebee.com with the transaction ID from Chargebee ( starts with txn_ ).
Warning
Deleting an in-progress transaction in Chargebee does not stop the transaction at the payment gateway. By the time the transaction is marked as in-progress, the payment request would have already been sent to the customer’s bank by the gateway.
As a result, the gateway may still complete the payment (either successfully or with failure), but Chargebee will not receive or record the final status of this transaction because it has been deleted. This can lead to data mismatches and reconciliation issues.
Therefore, we do not recommend deleting in-progress transactions unless absolutely necessary.
The transaction should not be associated with any invoice in Chargebee. If so, please remove the transaction at the invoice level using the following steps: how-to-remove-the-payments-linked-to-an-invoice.
Once deleted, this would be treated as a hard delete and the transaction information will not be synced into any of our downstream systems like the Accounting system. In that case, please be informed that you might have to manage data inconsistency due to the deletion of the transaction manually at your end
