Change existing domain name
Problem Statement
This article explains whether you can change your Chargebee subdomain to a new domain name and how to request the change.
Solution
You can change your Chargebee subdomain if the new domain is available and not already in use by another account. Changing the domain is a critical action: it breaks existing public links (for example, from https://OLD-DOMAIN.chargebee.com to https://NEW-DOMAIN.chargebee.com).
To change your subdomain, contact Chargebee Support with the new domain you want. If your site is already live (checkout or portal in use), schedule a time slot with support so links can be updated to the new subdomain.
Important Notes
- Only the registered account owner can request a domain change.
- If you use custom domains, changing the Chargebee subdomain may still be required; support can advise.
- You cannot change only the hosted page URL subdomain; changing the Chargebee subdomain updates all associated Chargebee URLs.
