Netsuite error: You cannot make changes to this period without the Allow Non-G/L Changes Permission

Problem Statement

Invoice sync to NetSuite fails with "You cannot make changes to this period without the Allow Non-G/L Changes Permission" when invoices have old dates or the accounting period is closed.

Solution

Grant the Allow Non-G/L Changes permission to the role used by the Chargebee integration in NetSuite so it can post to locked or closed periods (where allowed by your policy).

Steps to Set It Up

1. Go to Permission > Setup in NetSuite.
2. Open the Role assigned to the Chargebee integration user.
3. Find Allow Non-G/L Changes, select the period(s) as needed, and click Add.

After saving, the error should stop for that role.
