Netsuite error: You do not have permissions to edit this transaction

Problem Statement

Transaction sync to NetSuite fails with "You do not have permissions to edit this transaction" when invoices have old invoice dates or the accounting period is closed in NetSuite.

Solution

Enable Allow Non-G/L Changes for the closed period in NetSuite so the integration can post to that period.

Steps to Set It Up

  1. In NetSuite go to Setup > Accounting > Manage Accounting Periods.
  2. Edit the closed period(s).
  3. Check Allow Non-G/L Changes.
  4. Click Save.

Contact support if the error continues.
