Integration and System Impacts

Revenue Reporting and Recognition Impacts

The following are the impacts:

1. RevenueStory: Chargebee RevenueStory has introduced the MBE Customer Transfer feature. Learn more about Multi Business Entity Reports and Analytics.

RevenueStory limitations:

  • During a subscription transfer of a customer, the subscription data that belongs to the original/source business entity remains accessible in the original/source business entity, while post-transfer, the subscription data of the same customer will be stored in the new/destination business entity. Note that you can only access the pre-transfer subscription data from the original/source business entity.
  • If users only have access to the original/source business entity but combine data sources such as invoices, credit notes, transactions, and more, with subscriptions and customers, they will now be able to view the details of those subscriptions or customers as they exist in the new/destination business entity.

2. Revenue Recognition: Chargebee RevRec has introduced the MBE Customer Transfer feature.
Charebee's team will configure each business entity as a distinct RevRec instance, aligning with the Multi-Entity  feature in RevRec to ensure seamless data synchronization specific to each business entity. Learn more about RevRec .
