Integration and System Impacts

Revenue Reporting and Recognition Impacts

The following are the impacts:

1. RevenueStory: Chargebee RevenueStory has introduced the MBE Customer Transfer feature. Learn more about Multi Business Entity Reports and Analytics.

RevenueStory limitations:

  • During a subscription transfer of a customer, the subscription data that belongs to the original/source business entity remains accessible in the original/source business entity, while post-transfer, the subscription data of the same customer will be stored in the new/destination business entity. Note that you can only access the pre-transfer subscription data from the original/source business entity.
  • If users only have access to the original/source business entity but combine data sources such as invoices, credit notes, transactions, and more, with subscriptions and customers, they will now be able to view the details of those subscriptions or customers as they exist in the new/destination business entity.

2. Revenue Recognition: Chargebee RevRec has introduced the MBE Customer Transfer feature. Chargebee's team will configure each business entity as a distinct RevRec instance, aligning with the Multi-Entity feature in RevRec to ensure seamless data synchronization specific to each business entity. Learn more about RevRec.

CRM Integration Impacts

The following are the impacts:

  • Salesforce CRM supports the Multi Business Entity Customer Transfer feature. To enable it in Salesforce, please contact support. Learn more about Salesforce CRM Integration.
  • HubSpot Quote to Cash supports the Multi Business Entity Customer Transfer feature. Learn more about HubSpot Quote to Cash Integration.
  • Currently, there are no active development plans for compatibility with Salesforce CPQ and Pipedrive. Salesforce CPQ may start development in the coming years, but there are no plans for Pipedrive integration. Learn more about Salesforce CPQ and Pipedrive Integration.

Accounting Integration Impacts

The following are the impacts:

  • The Multi-Business Entity Customer Transfer feature has been incorporated into Netsuite and Xero. It is not active by default and will be activated upon request. With the Multi-Business Entity feature enabled, this feature will not be automatically available across all domains. Activation is managed through a specific site setting and must be explicitly enabled for sites with a Multi-Business Entity feature. To enable this feature, please get in touch with support. Learn more about Multi Business Entity for NetSuite and Xero Integration.
  • Sage Intacct is not currently compatible with the Multi-Business Entity Customer Transfer feature. We are working on making it compatible and will keep you updated on our progress. Learn more about Sage Intacct Integration.
