Introducing the Chargebee CLI

Sync Log Dashboard for NetSuite

The Sync Log lets you check the records that you tried to sync in the last three months. Additionally, it facilitates the execution of various actions upon these records.

Sync log actions

You can perform the following actions on the Sync Log page:

  • Download all errors
  • Ignore errors via CSV
  • Retry Sync
  • Ignore Sync

Download errors

You can download all errors of the last successful sync by selecting Download All Errors from the Sync Log.

The Download All Errors functionality does not consider any selected filters; it downloads all errors for all objects.

Records marked Ignored are not included in this error download. To review an ignored record, use the Sync Log and filter by Ignored. See Records dated before the sync start date.

Ignore errors via CSV

This functionality is the same as the Bulk ignore sync error in NetSuite.

Follow these steps to ignore sync errors in bulk:

  1. Log in to the Chargebee app and navigate to Apps > Apps Connected > NetSuite > View Sync Log.

  2. Click the Ignore Errors via CSV button to ignore errors in bulk.

  3. A pop-up window appears. Download the CSV file containing errors either from this section using Download CSV or from the main screen using Download all errors.

  4. The downloaded CSV file includes an extra column labeled Ignore Error. By default, the column values are populated with no.

A sample CSV file is shown here:

  5. Enter the Ignore Error value as yes for the errors that you wish to ignore.

  6. Upload the edited CSV file.

  7. Click Proceed. This action will initiate a process to ignore the specified errors.

  8. A pop-up message will appear upon a successful upload. In case of any failure, a relevant notification appears as shown below.

Retry Sync

The system takes the selected record(s) for a sync.

Ignore

The system will ignore the selected record for all future syncs, even in case of any updates, unless retried again from this dashboard.

Record level actions

You can choose to either Ignore or Retry Sync at a record level by selecting the options shown below.

Syncing records based on statuses

Each synced record could be in one of the following statuses:

  • SUCCESS - The record is successfully synced to NetSuite.
  • FAILED - The sync failed due to some error. You can see the error details in the Details section.
  • IGNORED — Records that are marked as ignored will not be taken up for future syncs. When enabled for your site, Chargebee can also mark applicable records Ignored automatically when they are not synced because they fall before the configured sync start date. See Records dated before the sync start date.

If a previously synced record is updated and you want to re-sync the specific record(s), you can use the Sync Now action.

You can ignore or retry sync for records that are in the FAILED state. Click Ignore or Retry Sync.

You can sync records that are in the IGNORED state. Click Sync Now.

Records dated before the sync start date

When this behavior is enabled for your site, Chargebee marks applicable records that are not synced because they predate your configured sync start date as Ignored instead of failed.

An applicable older invoice with no mapping to NetSuite can be marked Ignored. Certain older credit-note and transaction-allocation cases can also be ignored, depending on the integration configuration. Older records with existing mappings can follow different rules.

Ignored does not mean successfully synced. Once marked Ignored, a record remains available in the Sync Log under the usual retention limits, but is not counted as a failure or included in Sync Errors and error CSV downloads. Enabling this behavior does not necessarily reclassify every historical failure immediately.

To review an ignored record:

  1. Go to Apps > Apps Connected > NetSuite > View Sync Log.
  2. Filter by Ignored, or search by Chargebee ID.
  3. Open the record's details and review why it was not synced.

If the record is intentionally outside your sync scope, no action is needed for that reason alone.

If the record needs to be synced:

  1. Check whether it already exists in NetSuite. Review its mapping with your accounting administrator or Chargebee Support to avoid creating a duplicate.
  2. Use Sync Now on that specific record in the Sync Log.
  3. To sync several ignored records together, select them and click Retry Sync.
  4. Review the resulting status and confirm the outcome in NetSuite. If it does not sync, investigate the current reason or contact Chargebee Support.

Changing the sync start date alone does not automatically requeue a record already marked Ignored. Record-level Sync Now is different from Sync Now for the whole integration. A manual attempt must still satisfy mapping, validation, permissions, and other integration requirements.

Filters

These filters allow you to narrow down your search criteria in the Sync log, beginning with options to filter by Chargebee Object type, Status, Chargebee ID, and NetSuite ID.

Filter records by Chargebee object

Among these filtering options, one prominent feature is the ability to filter by Chargebee Object type. This capability empowers you to precisely target your search, specifically concentrating on data synced with third-party platforms.

Shown below is the image with the item price for PC2.0 and the image with plans and the addon for PC1.0.

Filter records by sync status

The filter by status allows you to sort and organize data based on specific statuses assigned to records such as Success, Ignored, and Failed. This feature enables you to quickly identify and manage records based on their current state, facilitating timely action.

Filter records by Chargebee ID

Discover the details of a record by using its Chargebee ID. Additionally, you can effortlessly navigate by clicking on the Chargebee ID.

Filter records by NetSuite ID

Find the information about a record using its NetSuite ID.
