What happens when Calendar billing is removed or disabled for the site?

This article explains what happens to subscription billing terms when Calendar billing is disabled or removed for the site.
Solution
When Calendar billing is enabled
Subscriptions created on the site (or with plans that have Calendar billing) have their billing terms aligned according to the Calendar Billing configuration.
When Calendar billing is disabled
- Existing subscriptions keep their current billing term dates.
- New subscriptions created after disabling are aligned to the subscription sign-up date or activation date.
Changing billing date
To change the billing date for a subscription, use Edit next billing date on the subscription record. Behavior differs when Calendar billing is enabled. See Changing the billing date when calendar billing is enabled.
Self-Serve Calendar Billing
From March 23, 2023, Chargebee uses Self-Serve Calendar Billing, which supports site-level and plan-level configurations, yearly billing frequency, and SaaS and E-commerce use cases.
