How do I create a zero-dollar or zero cost plan in Chargebee?

Problem Statement

How do I offer a zero-cost or free plan to my customers?

Solution

Create a plan with a price of 0 (e.g., 0 dollars) so customers can subscribe to a free plan.

Steps to Set It Up

  1. Go to Product Catalog > Plans
  2. Click Create new plan
  3. Set the plan price to 0

Note:

For 0-dollar plans to generate invoices, disable Hide Zero Value Line Items under Settings > Configure Chargebee > Billing LogIQ.
