How do I make Terms of Service mandatory at checkout? Can I add links to our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy?
Solution
Chargebee supports consent management for processing customer data. You can require customers to check a consent box before completing checkout and link to your Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.
Steps to Set It Up
- Go to Configure Chargebee > Checkout & Self-serve Portal > Checkout > Show Legal information > Customize
- Add links to your Terms of Service and Privacy Policy
- Enable Show checkbox to get consent so customers must check the box to proceed
- Optionally customize the labels for "Terms and Conditions" and "Privacy policy"
- Click Apply
Consent is not stored if checkout is not completed.
