After language translation, a few words on invoice are still in English. Why?

Scope

This article explains why some invoice terms remain untranslated and shows how to resolve the issue.

    1. Change words on invoice
  • 2. How to translate the terms 'Invoice' and 'Paid' on an invoice?

Answer

If you have completely translated your language pack and uploaded it following the instructions here, this issue can have two causes:

Reason 1: You are referring to an enum term like 'Paid' or 'Invoice'. If this is the case, then you need to open your specific language's folder and edit the fields in the file "enums.csv" in the folder named 'internal' as per the process detailed in the language-pack upload guide.

Reason 2: If you’ve updated enum translations but still see untranslated words, the issue may stem from manually entered parameters in your site settings.

Example: Settings > Configure Chargebee > Invoices, Credit Notes, and Quotes > General Settings - has organization address format that needs to be entered manually.

Review each manually entered parameter (see example below) and ensure you’ve translated it into your desired language.
