How to set termination fee for Contract terms?

Problem Statement

You want to charge a termination fee when customers end a contract subscription early.

Solution

Create a non-recurring add-on for the termination fee and add it to the subscription. When the contract is terminated immediately, the fee is charged.

Additional Information

You can override the fee per customer using Change subscription: reduce the fee or remove the add-on to waive it. This can support retention and negotiation.
